Performance of the Week

The 2008-2009 athletic year is off to a great start. This week was filled with many exciting performances and several big wins. Here's a recap:

8/25 JV football defeats LaVille 14-0
8/26 Tennis defeats Mishawaka
8/27 Tennis defeats Knox
8/28 Tennis defeats Mishawaka Marian to remain undefeated on the season (4-0)
Varsity Volleyball defeats John Glenn in three games to start the conference season 1-0
Boys Varsity Cross Country defeats Knox - Blake Lemler wins the race
Girls Varsity Golf defeats John Glenn - Kelsey Bessinger is the medalist
8/29 Varsity football defeats Northfield bringing their season record to 2-0

AND THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK......Varsity Football defeats Northfield on a last second kick-off return by Adam Creighbaum. The Trojans lead most of the way until the Norseman scored with 7 seconds remaining in the game to take the lead 13-12. The Norseman made the the mistake of kicking to Junior Adam Creighbaum as he returned the kick 75 yards to the endzone ending the game at 18-13. The Trojans win in dramatic fashion.

Congrats to all of the Triton Athletes on a fantastic week and especially to Adam Creighbaum and the entire Trojan football team on receiving the first "Performance of the Week!"

A Few Winter and Spring Changes

Below are a few changes to note for the winter and spring seasons:

Boys JH BB on 12/1 will be a 7th and 8th "A" only contest at Rochester beginning at 5:00
Boys JH BB on 12/11 will be a 7th and 8th "A" only contest at LaVille beginning at 4:30
Girls JH BB on 1/28 vs Urey has been rescheduled for 2/10 at 4:30 at Triton
Boys JH Golf on 5/26 at Urey has been rescheduled for 4/23 at 4:30 at Urey

JH Volleyball Pictures

The JH Volleyball pictures have been reshedule. The pictures will be taken on 8/25/08 at 3:30.

Schedule Change and Cancellation

The girls JH Volleyball match against Tippecanoe Valley that was scheduled on 10/4 has been moved to 9/17. The match will still be played at Tippecanoe Valley at 4:30.

The boys JV Tennis tournament at New Prairie has been canceled.

A Few More Changes

The Boys Varsity Tennis Match against Marian has been moved from August 25th to August 28th. The match will be played at 4:30 at Marian.

Please note the following time change: Girls JV/Varsity Volleyball @ Wawasee will begin at 5:30 rather than 6:00

It's the first day of school and already we have two Athletic Changes. See below:

Girls Varsity/JV Volleyball at Winamac has been rescheduled for 8/18/08 at 6:00

Girls JH Volleyball vs John Young on 9/16/08 has been canceled

Girls Varsity/JV Volleyball vs Argos on 9/25 will be a Varsity contest ONLY...Argos does not have enough to field a JV team

Fall Sports Picture Day
